The trip was amazing. Of course the sightings of the gorillas were magical but like you had said before, meeting the locals and getting to know their history was an equally impressive experience. They put me to shame really. We have so much to learn from them. The city of Kigali is beautiful. And the couple restaurants you recommended were very good! Thank you!!
We made friends with the drivers and guides during our visit. When we were at Silverback lodge, we spoke to the manager about offering two gorilla passes to their team: one to our driver/guide Emanuele and the other to the gentleman who took care of us at Silverback.
We had a really good time in Rwanda, and are already looking forward to our next visit to Africa.
