Patty and Jakey Yulo

Let me tell you about the biggest bonus on these safaris. It’s 100 percent the people - the locals and the other tourists you meet along the way.

First of all, the service is unparalleled. The warm welcomes and greetings you get day and night from when you wake up until they walk you back to your rooms, it just never goes away.

The time is short but you become family. They call you by your name and make sure to go above and beyond to make your stay special. We happened to mention that this trip was a delayed celebration of Jakey’s 40th pandemic birthday and an advanced celebration of our upcoming anniversary and they never failed to surprise us with song and dance numbers, special candle light dinners, romantic room (and bathroom) setups and so much more.

Aside from that, the guides that are with you everyday are over flowing with knowledge and passion for what they do. The enthusiasm is so contagious and you leave each place having a deeper love and respect for nature and the animals.

But it doesn’t end there, you also form new friendships with other tourists from all over the world. The shared experience form instant connections and for some reason, when you’re on safari in the middle of nowhere it’s so easy to share personal stories from back home too.

This was the best reintroduction to the world after an almost 3 year hiatus. There’s really nothing like it and it’s an experience that stays with you for a lifetime.
