It was an exhilirating experience!  The staff of Cheetah Plains were very accommodating. Cannot say anything but praise for the safari guides, Mike and Josh. They really tried their best for us to see as many animals as we could even driving beyond the property lines of Cheetah Plains. Unfortunately, we didnt see any rhino, or the cheetah, or hyena. Mike drove us to the "lairs" of the hyenas but mother hyena was not around. Its okay, we saw where they are "billeted", so to speak.  We went on four game drives. We got a pretty good number of animal sightings. Lots of elephants, a leopard, a herd of cape buffaloes, kudus, 2 male lions with tummies about to explode from the previous night's hunt, 5 lionesses, a couple of giraffes, various antelope species (their names escape me right now).

Now, I understand what a real safari is. Its like hunting, only you get the viewing not the killing. Getting very close to them makes you think you might be another candidate of those safaris gone wrong. But it didnt happen. Mike explained to us humans are just skin and bones to a lion, compared to the meat they may get from a kudo for example. True!  I have to sit down again and fix the photos.

P.S. Food was plenty and excellent.
