All things were marvelous! Carrie was totally fired up about the safari as was I. She's a tougher customer than me, so that's really saying something. We did get some great pictures and I'm working on getting them up on a website now. My amateur photo skills will clearly be on display! I didn’t want to leave Duba. Wish we spent 4 days there! I want to go back to that camp and Savuti again and maybe try some other ones in the network....they were all great.
The Wilderness Safaris folks were all terrific. I don’t know how they can be so friendly to all the guests...it must get tiresome after a while, but i never saw any signs of fatigue. We were very happy with all our guides, with one exception and we asked for a change and received it. I was dying to see lions at Duba going after a buffalo, but they weren’t cooperating during our 4 drives, so I'll just have to go back!
Cape Town and Vic Falls were a great way to ease into the safari...needed more time in Cape Town, but not at the expense of the safari so it was perfect...again...need to go back to enjoy more of it. We did the whole drive to Cape of Good Hope, Table Mountain and wine region as well (Spier and Rusten Vrede). Also, I had no trouble driving around... Couldn’t convince Carrie to do the shark cage in the end...
Again, an amazingly different experience than anything Carrie or I have ever had....I'll send all my friends interested in a safari to you.
Thanks again for all your help in planning...Victor and Jose did a terrific job planning our stay and preparing us for the experience! We had an absolute blast
