The Crearys

This trip has been our best trip yet.  It was absolutely wonderful.  The camps were gorgeous and the people and staff so friendly.  Victoria Falls was very dry at this time of the year but the view was still very nice.  We did visit Mukuni village, the Livingstone museum and take a sunset cruise on the Zambezi river (African Queen).  The guide at Duma Tau said we were fortunate on our first day we saw giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, baby and mama leopard feeding on an impala in a tree and lots of birds.  Our second day we saw lots of elephants and their babies, ostriches, 2 lions and a lioness, 2 lionesses with their cubs and a pack of 23 wild dogs - we followed them for awhile and watched them hunt and go after a hyena and later that day we saw 2 cheetahs!  We took a boat ride looking for hippos one afternoon and were lucky enough to see one with his mouth open in front of lots of elephants. At Tubu Tree we saw lion and lioness roaming and went on a mokoro ride and saw many of the mentioned above.  At Chitabe Trails we again saw wild dogs, a lion feeding on a dead hippo surrounded by vultures, the most beautiful sunsets, leopard up a tree feeding on a kudu, roan antelopes and the list just goes on.  The camps were very generous, Duma Tau gave us a bottle of south african champagne and at Chitabe since we were the only guests the first night they gave us a candlelit dinner by the pool.  It was very nice.

Capetown was just as wonderful, the accommodations again being fabulous.  We went up table mountain, saw the sunset from Signal Hill, visited Robben Island, ate at the Waterfront and by the B & B.  Visited Green Market.  We did take all your advice and drove down to Cape Point and had lunch there.  We stopped in Simonstown and Boulders beach to see the penguins.  The drive was so beautiful our pictures can't capture what we saw.  It was so windy when we walked up the to the lighthouse.  We did drive back thru Chapman’s Peak to Hout Bay again what a sight!
We enjoyed the wineries, the Boschendal grounds were beautiful.  We visited Chamonix, and the Franschoek wineries too.  We were able to get into the Le Quartier Francaise restaurant but we did eat the first night at the French Connection recommended by the hotel and the second night at Haute Cabriere.  Both of them were great.  We really enjoyed the food there.

I want to thank you for everything, the recommendations, the great accomodations and making this a trip of a lifetime.  The reservations all went smoothly.  There was a change in our flight from Chitabe to Capetown as your representative who met us when we arrived on our first day said there was no longer a direct flight so we arrived in Capetown later than expected.  The good thing is they didn't have any Corollas left at that time so they upgraded us to an Audi.  My husband was happy with that.  We were so happy with everything and the staff at the locations we stayed at were so informative and helpful.  We hope to go back again one day.

I can see why you go back every year.  It can get addictive, the game drives and all.

Thank you again and we definetely will recommend this trip to our family and friends.
