Dear Yessa,

Thank you for organising such a spectacular trip of a lifetime!

We got really lucky with all the sightings, having seen the big five numerous times over, a couple of migratory river crossings as well as a few kills! We even got to see the highly threatened Black Rhino three times over!

Both the Great Plains lodges at Mara Plains and Ol Donyo offers the ultimate “GLAMPING” experience where we stayed in tents set up in the wilderness without fences invoking in all of us a sense of adventure. The intimate atmosphere with personal service of the attendants and great dining completed it all. However, it was at Angama Mara, a hotel-like lodge perched on the Great Rift Valley overlooking the Maasai Mara  that the Plains truly come alive with all forms of migratory activities. The Mara River crossings made famous through National Geographic documentaries was where we got to witness the most exciting game drives and sightings. Our overall experience was greatly enhanced by the knowledge of our driver/guides; in my case, all three were from the Maasai tribe and it was through them that I learn so much about Africa and its inhabitants.

My friends were so inspired by my pictures and stories that they have put “The Great Migration” trip on their Must-Do list. So I have copied them on a separate email so that they can connect with you whenever they are ready to go on this great exploration.

Thank you once again and please receive my warmest regards
