I just wanted to write and say a HUGE thank you to A2A Safaris for organising the holiday of a lifetime. I hadn’t done a huge amount of research myself and chose to leave myself in A2A’s capable hands, and I am VERY pleased I did. The trip started off seamlessly, our transfer from Johannesburg to Madikwe Safari Lodge could not have been easier and as a result we arrived raring to go out on our first game drive.
We stayed in Kopano lodge where the staff were so lovely and went out of their way to help us in any way they could. The food was absolutely delicious, and I could go on and on raving about Jose the chef. I suffer from very severe allergies which can often be a problem in hotels – but I was in such safe hands I had nothing to worry about. At tea time I would be given special egg-free brownies, it was such a treat not having to miss out on anything.
Our room was immaculate, and the surroundings so peaceful it was a joy to relax on our private terrace in between game drives. Our safari guide Jo was brilliant – he went out of his way to try and find everything we wanted to see, his knowledge was second to none and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Even though we still had another week of holiday in South Africa after our safari, I still couldn’t bear to leave and was talking about returning before we’d even taken off.
Thank you again, to all the staff at Madikwe Safari Lodge and to A2A, it was a magical holiday and I would not have changed a thing.
